Mechannibals

... or how to destory your house on telly ;-)

The first of the series was on Sunday, and Jonathan's been keeping us abreast of the transmission dates. He's also collecting reviews, so pop over there if you want to add a comment about the show. He's the producer after all. Still amuses me, seeing his name flash past on the screen. Thinking back to the old days at Wiberforce, Malet, and even Gilshill. I wonder what Mrs Jones or Mr Bell would be saying now :-D

Mr Bell says spot on, bloody well good show ole' bean.

News from Jonathan:

Last Sunday featured some ridiculous new show involving ludicrously-dressed chaps poking two-inch balls around with pointy sticks on a desperately poor model of a field. Thankfully, decent television will return next week.

So it's the fault of the snooker. Stay tuned!!

Alan, can I ask...You have actually watched Mechannibals, haven't you?

You see, you have some new age-ish strap line atop your website, and yet you appear to be happy to endorse a destructive and wasteful show like Mechannibals. A show where people are encouraged to smash up their perfectly good appliances and possessions to make, well... scrap.

This is Scrapheap Challenge for morons. At least contestants on Scrapheap Challenge attempt to MAKE stuff from broken and discarded scrap. At least its message is one of inventive reuse and recycling. In contrast, Mechannibals subtext is so wasteful, so destructive, it makes one wince.

It is irresponsible programming, and not one that a publicly-funded broadcaster like the BBC should be encouraging -- just when the government is trying to encourage us to be more sustainable. I encourage anyone with intelligence to make a formal complaint about this pisspoor show to the BBC at http://www.bbc.co.uk/complaints

So........not a fan then.
Anyway, cud u get in touch?
Only I may hav a trip to cort soon and it wood be much easier if ther was someone or something that was like, well, a judge or jury or even both rolled into one, in fact thats ecsactly what I could do with, someone who is both judge and jury. It wood save me a lot of time and truble.
Thanks in advance.
