Oooh shiny! I like this one. Not a big fan of Industrial Sun, I'm afraid, but this is very smart.

One problem - with the top layer-overlay or whatever you've done, I can't click focus to the page content. So spacebar scrolling, page up/down and indeed mouse wheel scrolling all fail, at least on Safari/OmniWeb. I think the same thing happened in FireFox/Windows, but my PC spontaneously rebooted at that point (probably coincidental).

Scroll bar scrolling still works.

I have had a couple of goofy issues with it too. It seems to correct itself when I reload the page, however, but sometimes, the scrolling does seem to "stick".

I like the color theme of industrial sun, but I find the layout too narrow.

So would now be a good time to bug you into helping me with some website design stuff? :) :) :)

No, just kidding. I really need to get myself a Mac for testing these sorts of things on. I must ask work if they'll stump up the cash for a mini - I'm sure I can justify it on testing grounds...

It's kind of an interesting problem. I've tested the theme in Firefox, Opera and IE, and one of the consequences of the set up that I noticed is that it's necessary to focus on the page before you can use the navigation keys (there is a reason for this). However, I've not experienced any problems actually doing the focusing - clicking within the page works fine.

I can't say I'm too surprised there have been problems though. I've used a few esoteric css tricks on order to get the graphics to overlay the content, and there was quite a bit of juggling involved in getting it working correctly on all three. My usual experience is that if something works on those three browsers Safari will normally be content, but I have come across at least one exception to that rule.

Unfortunately, until I get hold of Mac there's little I can do I'm afraid. Sorry folks.

OMG :-O When someone at work commented, "Yeah, you're right, that white theme is waaaay cool", I said, "Eh?" What a pleasent surprise tonight :D

Comment box is a bit funny though, the scrollbar doesn't seem to sync with the window content. I can see the comment box, obviously, to post a comment. But adding my name, etc..., I've got to scroll back up, then down. At which point this comment box and the Post button disappear?

But otherwise, excellent ;)

I've fixed the problem with the comment boxes. I knew about it, but I was just too lazy to do anything about it at the time :)

I've made a couple of other small tweaks as well - the sidebar now displays correctly in the individual archives, and I've thrown a white background on the image in the top right corner - it just didn't look right to me sitting on top of the text.

Anyway, thanks for your comments Alan - I'm very pleased with it too :)
