so farewell then...
JOHNNY DANKWORTH.
He once said that of all the drawings and paintings of saxophones he'd seen [and one must assume he'd seen a few] my drawing was the only one he felt he could play.

Great saxophone! He composed some fantastic music for a BBC adaptation of The Canterbury Tales when I was twelve, and I've always remembered it, but never found it again.
